I was actually a bit worried due to some very bad reviews I had read, but my experience with Wheego was nothing but great. Here's why:

1. I ended up picking the car almost 5 hours past the agreed time due to personal issues. The staff waited for me and no extra charges were involved.
2. I had some trouble with my credit card at the moment of authorizing the deposit - the guy at the pick up point waited patiently until I got it solved.
3. They gave me a car bigger than the one I had rented for the same price. The car was clean, had the gas tank full, and had no problems throughout the week I rented it.
4. I returned the car on a Saturday, and they let me know that would be refunding the deposit on Monday, which they did (though it kicked in a few days later, which is a standard thing with these transactions).

It wouldn't hurt to clarify at this point that I'm not the owner of Wheego, nor a friend of him/her, and that I'm not getting paid for writing this review. Just the honest truth.

Service und Auto war gut. Die Dame war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Ich musste auch nicht warten, da an einer Montag um 7 Uhr kein anderer Kunde da war.
Die Sorge, dass die Autos nicht so sauber sind (durch andere Bewertungen) hat sich bei mir nicht bestätigt. Das Auto war sehr sauber.
Einzige könnte man nochmal die Wegbeschreibung anpassen, da das Video welches bei Google abrufbar ist, nach Umzug nicht mehr aktuell ist. Ich hatte ca. 10 Minuten gesucht.
Tipps für die anderen. Nicht dem Weg auf dem Video folgen, sondern dem Hinweis auf diesem Schild folgen (Screenshot Video). Vor dem Schild stehen um 180° drehen und dann ca. 200 m laufen bis wheego auf der linken Seite erscheint.

Habe mein Auto trotz Buchung nicht vor der angegebenen Zeit abholen können, da es nicht im System verbucht war. Das ging bei anderen Unternehmen reibungsloser. Trotzdem wurde ich Mega gut von der Mitarbeiterin Anna beraten, die sich sehr herzlich um meine Buchung gekümmert hat. Rückgabe lief auch tiptop.

After the merger with Buchbinder, Hubert Terstappen became Managing Director of the Group and developed the company into the fourth-largest mobility provider in Germany and the market leader in Austria with over 30,000 vehicles at 165 locations. The entrepreneur also founded the international franchise system Global Rent a Car and expanded the brand into 20 countries worldwide. Following the successful sale of the Buchbinder Group to Europcar, he was responsible for the integration into the Europcar Mobility Group and was appointed Managing Director of Europcar in Germany. He left the company in 2020 and founded the VCC VENTURES Group and the associated companies share-tec GmbH, mobi-tec GmbH and PARKsmart. In the first financial year, Hubert Terstappen and the wheego team achieved all planned milestones.
